Was appointed to the BBC Advisory Council for 5 years – the only non- parliamentarian recorded in the BBC cassette of “Great Political Speakers”.
Contributed to radio programmes, magazine articles, British & foreign press – television and media internationally e.g. Australia, West Indies, Africa, New Zealand and other countries.
As a devoted Anglican, I was a Church Warden and Treasurer at St Anselm Church, Hatch End, Pinner, UK and a member of Harrow Deanery Synod.
A Speaker at Clergy Training Courses at Windsor Castle and was a special guest at the “Garter Ceremony of late Jim Callaghan”.

Harrow Mayor 2004/2005 - carried out over 500 official engagements and over 200 unofficial. Met and dined with Her Majesty the Queen when she visited Harrow to unveil the Plague to commemorate Harrow as a borough, later my husband Clive and myself attended the Queens Garden Party for the second time.

Mayoralty duties gave me the experience of the involvement of the 32 London Boroughs and the Corporation of London as well as with Harrow’s Twin Town Douai in France.

Mayoral charity contribution to Save the Children Fund and to West House and Heath Robinson Museum Trust UK.
Runner up to Mayor of the year Great Britain Award 2005.
Met Nelson Mandela when he visited London on the occasion of “Make Poverty History”.
Entertained the South African High Commissioner in Harrow.
In 2005 visited Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Zambia & Kenya to gain knowledge of the suffering and poverty in Africa. As a result, I am founder and patron to the registered charity “Reach Out Africa” to address the needs of people without “Outreach Provision” in Africa.
